Davis Drive Elementary's staff has a Relay For Life team.

The Dynamic Dolphins is our jump rope team. 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders are invited to try out for the team, which is divided into three groups: Purple, Teal and Yellow. This team performs at the local parades and offers camps to young jumpers in the area.
The Student Council consists of 5th Graders who are elected by their classmates. The students meet monthly to consider projects and activities that would benefit the school and the larger community. Events such as Kids' Voting, Red Ribbon Week, and I CAN make a Difference to collect food for the NC Food Bank are examples of some of the activities.
The Student Council helps conduct several events during the year such as the school-wide talent show. The members are responsible for planning and conducting various aspects of the show. The Student Council students are in charge of the school store that is open for business on Monday and Tuesday mornings before school.
Chess Club is offered to 1st through 5th grade students who want to improve their skills in the game of chess. This club will begin in October and run through April. Questions can be sent to Cynthia Johnson.
Odessey Of Mind is offered to 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students.
Fifth Grade Clubs are available for all students in Grade 5. A variety of clubs are being offered this year; Art Club, Book Club, Drama Club, Dolphin Watch Newspaper Club, Spanish Club, Math Club and Building and Design Club.
Chorus is offered to 4th and 5th Grade students. There is a Spring Performance in April.
Recorder
Ensemble is for Fifth Grade students who wish to play advanced music
with the goal of performance. There is a Spring Performance in April under
the direction of Ms. West.
